Steam or infrared: which one did you mean to buy?

Both of these fold up, fit in a spare corner and plug into the wall. The difference is where the heat comes from.

The HALO is a steam sauna. You fill a 1600W steam unit with distilled or filtered water, steam flows into the insulated cover, and Burneek lists the air at 140-150°F with almost 100% humidity.

The Pulse PRO is a dry infrared sauna. Six ThermoCell infrared panels line the tent and reach about 160°F max internal heat. There is no tank to fill, and cleanup is a wipe-down with a soft towel.

If you like wet heat, the HALO is built for it. If you searched for an infrared sauna, the Pulse PRO is the infrared one.

Pick the kind of heat first. The rest of the comparison follows from it.

What does 660 + 850nm add over 660nm?

The HALO Red Light model comes with Burneek's 660nm red light system, one wavelength. Burneek does not publish an LED count for it.

The Pulse PRO carries medical-grade 660nm-850nm red light from 320 LEDs, built into the tent itself. That is red light at 660nm plus near-infrared at 850nm, running while you sit in the infrared heat.

So you get heat and red light in one session, from one unit, with nothing extra to plug in or buy.

What do you get for the extra $450?

The HALO is $249 today and the Pulse PRO is $699. That gap is real. Here is what the Pulse PRO spends it on.

Materials that were tested. An OEKO-TEX certified insulated cover, sauna fabric independently tested PFAS-free, and a MylarMax heat-reflective lining. Burneek's HALO page states BPA-free materials and does not publish OEKO-TEX or PFAS testing.

Ultra-low EMF infrared heating. The HALO page does not publish an EMF figure.

A smaller footprint. The Pulse PRO sits on 36" x 36". The HALO is listed at 49" wide and 41" deep.

And the full kit in the box: foldable wood stool, SweatLock floor mat, Bluetooth controller and carrying case, with a 1-Year Limited Warranty and a 30-day return guarantee. HSA/FSA may be eligible through TrueMed.

Questions

Pulse PRO vs HALO, answered.

Is the Burneek HALO an infrared sauna?

Burneek's HALO product page describes it as a portable steam sauna. Heat comes from a 1600W steam unit with a 4L tank, and the Red Light model adds a 660nm red light. The SaunaBox Pulse PRO is a dry infrared sauna heated by 6 ThermoCell infrared panels, with a 660nm-850nm red light built in.

Which one gets hotter, the Pulse PRO or the HALO?

The Pulse PRO reaches about 160°F max internal heat (varies by environment). Burneek lists the HALO at 140-150°F with almost 100% humidity and says it feels like +185°F. Steam and dry infrared heat feel different, so pick the type of heat you want first.

Does Burneek sell a dry sauna too?

Yes. Burneek sells the AirPro 185°F Dry Sauna at $399 and an AirPro 185°F Dry Heater add-on for the HALO at $199 (prices on burneek.com, September 14, 2026). Burneek's page says the add-on and the steam unit cannot run at the same time. This page compares the HALO Red Light Gen 2 because it is Burneek's portable sauna sold with red light.

Do I need to fill it with water?

The HALO steam unit is filled with water, and Burneek says to use only distilled or filtered water. The Pulse PRO heats with infrared panels, so there is no tank to fill. After a session you wipe the interior down with a soft towel.

How much space do I need?

The Pulse PRO sits on a 36" x 36" footprint and stands 68" tall. Burneek lists the HALO at 49" wide, 41" deep and 6'2" tall.

What warranty and returns come with each?

The Pulse PRO comes with a 1-Year Limited Warranty and SaunaBox lists a 30-day return guarantee. Burneek lists a 1-Year Warranty and 30-Day Returns on the HALO page.

Can I use HSA or FSA funds for the Pulse PRO?

The Pulse PRO may be eligible through TrueMed, SaunaBox's HSA/FSA partner.
