220°F (104.4°C) at bench level. You will reach a usable sauna temperature of 170°F (76.7°C) in approximately 25 minutes from a cold start. Within about 40 minutes of a cold start, it will reach 220°F.


This is a traditional dry sauna — not infrared. The Harvia Vega Compact heater warms the air and the sauna rocks to high temperatures (up to 220°F / 104°C). You can pour water over the rocks to create a brief burst of steam (löyly), but the primary experience is dry heat. Infrared saunas heat your body directly at lower ambient temperatures. If you want the authentic Finnish sauna experience — intense heat, the option to add steam, and the ritual of high temperature bathing — The Forge is the right choice.

  • When will my order ship? Can I cancel?

    The Forge is currently available for pre-order. Pre-orders are expected to ship June 15–20. We will send you an email notification when your order is about to ship. You can cancel your pre-order at any time before it ships — no questions asked.

  • What is FlowCore®?

    FlowCore is The Forge's active convection airflow system. A low intake vent draws fresh air in at floor level while a ceiling exhaust vent expels spent air — creating a continuous convection loop that intensifies heat distribution and keeps oxygen levels fresh throughout your session.

  • What wood is the interior made from?

    Canadian Hemlock — a light-toned, low-resin, low-odor wood that is well-suited for sauna interiors. It stays cool to the touch even at high temperatures, handles moisture well, and ages beautifully with regular use.

  • What accessories are included with The Forge?

    The Forge includes a bucket and ladle, ergonomic backrest, and foot stool.

  • What is the warranty on The Forge?

    The Forge comes with a 2-year cabin warranty covering the structural frame, exterior cladding, interior wood, door, hardware, and all cabin components against manufacturing defects. The Harvia Vega Compact heater carries a 1-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. Both warranties apply from the date of delivery. Damage resulting from improper installation, use outside of specified electrical requirements, or normal weathering and wear is not covered. To make a warranty claim, contact SaunaBox support with your order number and photos of the issue and we will make it right.

  • Can I use an infrared sauna if I have health conditions?

    Always consult your doctor before use, especially if you have heart conditions, are pregnant, or take medications.

  • Can I stand in it?

    Yes. The height of the Forge is 6 feet, 8 inches.
