Maintaining Your SaunaBox

CLEANING YOUR KIT

We suggest cleaning the sauna and steam unit in between each use to keep your kit in the best condition.

  • Cool Down Completely - Ensure your SaunaBox has not been used for at least 12 hours and is fully cooled before starting the cleaning process.

  • Prepare Your Cleaning Solution - Mix 30mL of our plant-based cleaning concentrate with 16oz of water in a reusable spray bottle. Shake well before use.

  • Wipe Down the ThermoShield Tent & Frame - Lightly mist the interior and exterior surfaces of the ThermoShield tent and frame. Use a microfiber cloth towipe away sweat residue, steam buildup, and dust.

  • Clean the Chair for a Hygienic Experience

  • Refresh the Floor Mat - Machine wash or apply a light mist of cleaner and wipe.

  • For any visible stains or buildup, let the cleaning solution sit for 1-2 minutes before wiping clean. Repeat as needed

  • Do not use corrosive cleaners or any toxic chemicals that could pose harm when the kit is in use.

  • Allow All Surfaces to Air Dry - Keep your SaunaBox open for a few minutes to let the cleaned surfaces dry completely before your next session.

  • Check the Heating Unit Cleaning Guide BELOW: The heating unit requires a different cleaning method, which can be found on the next page. Follow those steps separately to ensure optimal performance.

CLEANING YOUR HEATING UNIT

IMPORTANT SAFETY STEP BEFORE CLEANING: ENSURE THE STEAM DEVICE IS TURNED OFF, UNPLUGGED FROM POWER, AND HAS NOT BEEN USED FOR AT LEAST 12 HOURS TO ALLOW IT TO COOL COMPLETELY.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

  • White vinegar or citric acid

  • Baking soda (optional)

  • Soft sponge or cloth

  • Warm water

  • Spray bottle (optional)

  • Dry microfiber towel

CLEANING STEPS:

  1. Prepare Cleaning Solution: Mix 1 part white vinegar with 2 parts warm water (or dissolve 2 tablespoons of citric acid in 1 quart of warm water). Pour into a spray bottle or directly into the chamber.

  2. Apply the Solution: Spray or pour the solution onto the affected area. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to break down the sediment.

  3. Scrub Gently: Use a soft sponge or non abrasive scrub pad to gently scrub away loosened buildup. For tough spots, make a baking soda paste (baking soda + water) and apply it as a mild abrasive.

  4. Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse with warm water to remove any residue.

  5. Dry and Polish: Wipe dry with a microfiber towel to prevent water spots and restore shine.

FOR HEAVY BUILDUP, REPEAT THE PROCESS OR SOAK THE CHAMBER WITH THE VINEGAR SOLUTION FOR 30 MINUTES BEFORE SCRUBBING. AVOID USING STEEL WOOL OR HARSH ABRASIVES, AS THEY CAN SCRATCH THE STAINLESS STEEL.

STORAGE AND USAGE:

  • Allow time for the steam unit to cool after use, ensuring it is off before unplugging from power.
  • Ensure the sauna is completely dry before storing.
  • Store in a cool, dry place.
  • The sauna tent is not designed to be left outdoors with no coverage.
  • Do not machine wash or dry clean the sauna tent - only the absorbent mat and towel provided are intended for machine wash.
  • Do not place any objects on top of the sauna tent or steamer
  • Leave unplugged when not in use and ensure no electronics are near water.
