The SAUNABOX™ heats up internally to 130°+ F. This is a steam sauna so the near 100% humidity keeps your sweat from evaporating and reaches similar effects as a 160°+ dry sauna. The condensed area of the sauna also helps to increase the level of heat. You can adjust heat level and duration settings directly on the SmartSteam unit and by remote control.
The inside of the heat insulated cover is designed to help prevent mold and bacteria build up. A quick dry & machine washable absorbent sweat mat for the bottom of the sauna is included in every order. After use, we recommend leaving the door flap open to air out and wiping down the water vapor on the inside walls.

The SaunaBox™ can be used both indoors and outdoors! If you leave it outdoors, we recommend having an appropriate cover such as a canopy, balcony, tarp, etc. The SaunaBox is NOT weatherproof. Leaving the SaunaBox outside for a long period of time may cause exterior cosmetic damage.
Depending on duration of use, minor condensation may build up underneath the SaunaBox™. When used indoors, it is recommended to keep it on moisture-resistant surfaces (such as tile or concrete) or keep an absorbent towel underneath the SaunaBox™ to catch any excess moisture.
The SaunaBox can be used inside but recommended only on water resistant floors. Depending on duration of use, minor condensation may build up underneath the sauna and it would be recommended to be used on tile/concrete/other water resistant surfaces.
The sauna takes about 10-15 minutes to set up and 5 minutes to take down. After you do it once, it gets easier to do it quickly - we compare it to setting up a small camping tent - we wouldn't recommend having the intention to set it up and take it down daily as that may be tedious. But, is it worth bringing on a trip for a few days? We'd give that a big "yes". It will come in a box roughly 11in x 11.8in x 40in (for comparison, this is around the size of a golf bag).
The SaunaBox plugs into a standard 110v wall outlet. It does not require any water source adaptor - simply remove the lid and pour several liters of water into the SmartSteam chamber and it's ready to turn on.
No, all of the fabric is not machine-washable - it comes with an absorbent mat for the floor that is machine-washable along with a towel designed to wipe down the walls after use.
You might think: a bunch of moisture inside a fabric tent - will mold build up? Well, we thought of that too - so we made the fabric to be antimicrobial in order to prevent mold or bacteria build up. Just wipe down the walls after use with a towel, let the Saunabox air out, and throw your absorbent mat in the washer/dryer. Use non-toxic cleaner on the floor of the inside and you're all set!
Cleaning Process
Drain the Tub: Begin by draining all the water from the tub.
Clean Surfaces: Once emptied, clean the surfaces of the tub. Use a non-abrasive and non-toxic cleaner that is safe on skin.
Scrub Gently: Use a soft cloth or sponge to apply the cleaner. Gently scrub the interior surfaces, including the bottom, sides, and any seats or steps. Pay special attention to areas where biofilm (slimy layer) can form.
Rinse Thoroughly: After scrubbing, rinse the tub thoroughly with clean water to ensure all cleaner residues are removed. This step is crucial to prevent skin irritations or chemical imbalances in the water when the tub is refilled.
Dry and Refill: Wipe down the tub with a clean, dry cloth to remove excess water and prevent water spots. Then, refill the tub according to the manufacturer's instructions, adjusting the water's chemical balance if necessary.
Maintenance Frequency
Regular Maintenance: Perform a basic cleaning (e.g., skimming debris, checking water clarity) before each use or weekly to maintain water quality.
Deep Cleaning: A more thorough cleaning, as described above, should be done every month or more frequently depending on usage. High usage or visible dirt/grime build-up might necessitate more frequent cleaning.
Water Quality Checks: Test the water regularly for pH and sanitizer levels if you use chemicals to maintain water quality. Adjust as needed to maintain the recommended balance.
Additional Tips
Cover Your Tub: When not in use, keep your tub covered to prevent debris from falling in and to reduce the need for cleaning.

Absolutely. Return it unused in it's original packaging and you will be refunded in full minus the return postal charge.
A refund request can be submitted within 30-days of purchase.
Once you open and use the product, it is ineligible for a return.
