Is a hemlock cabin worth it over a portable pod?

The SaunaPro is a 100% cotton chamber on six stainless steel poles. It folds flat, weighs 10 kg and sets up in about 8-10 minutes by Nurecover's own spec. Portability is the whole idea.

The Solara is the opposite idea. It is a 100% Canadian Hemlock cabin with a reflective glass door, built to stay in one spot in your home.

You assemble it once, in under 30 minutes. After that there are no poles and no zips. You open the door and sit down.

A pod is something you set up. A cabin is somewhere you go.

Isn't 185°F better than 158°F?

On paper the SaunaPro gets hotter. Nurecover lists it at up to 185°F from a single carbon ceramic dry heater. The Solara heats up to 158°F, and you can set it anywhere from 77°F.

They heat in different ways. The Solara uses near, mid and far infrared panels with ultra-low EMF. Nurecover does not publish an infrared spectrum for the SaunaPro.

Nurecover also notes that the SaunaPro performs best in a room around 68°F and may run cooler in colder rooms. The Solara gives you a set temperature and a 0-90 minute timer in a solid wood cabin.

What does the extra money buy?

Both include 660nm red light. Only the Solara publishes 850nm as well. Its panel carries 60 LEDs at up to 192 mW/cm² and runs in the same session as the heat.

The SaunaPro's LumaCore light is a strip powered by a battery pack that has to stay outside the sauna. Batteries are not included.

The Solara also builds in chromotherapy in 10 colors and Bluetooth audio. Nurecover sells a speaker separately.

And the Solara carries a 2-Year warranty, double the SaunaPro's 1 year.
